Kalanjiyam is a non-government organization (NGO) founded in 2006 by a group of compassionate and socially conscious individuals who shared a common vision: to uplift underprivileged and rural communities through the establishment of sustainable models for community development. At the heart of Kalanjiyam’s vision lies the commitment to sustainable community development, where communities actively participate and take ownership of their progress.

“Kalanjiyam envisions an energized and empowered community, that can take part in its own development, is able to mobilize and organize itself and take actions to ensure quality education, improved health and overall well-being of all its members.”

This vision reflects our deep belief in the potential of communities to drive their own development.  To realize this vision, Kalanjiyam has set forth a comprehensive mission, focusing on five core areas

Socio-economic Development: we actively work towards socio-economic development, creating opportunities for income generation and economic stability within communities.

Access to Quality Education: we work diligently to improve educational outcomes and access to quality education and fostering a love for learning among children.

Health and Well-being: we are committed to promoting health and well-being and facilitating access to healthcare services and raising awareness about health-related issues.
