Encouraging our students through Heritage Clubs

| The Heritage clubs started in two of our Panchayat Union schools in February this year, have been very active and conducting various programs in the schools. On this day, 30th August 2010, twenty one students from Sangama and Kramiya Heritage Clubs left their villages early in the morning and visited Chennai to participate in a special program conducted by Sankara Vidhyashramam School, in Thiruvanmiyur, Chennai. |

| Implementing Digital Literacy Project of Rotary International |
| Empowering all the students in our adopted schools through sound exposure to computers is an important part of efforts. In line with this we initiated a partnership with Rotary International District 3230, which has developed an software that enables students to learn the basics of computer operations, use of windows applications and email in Tamil language through a self paced program. |

| Cognizant Foundation donated a new Mahindra Maxi Cab-Tourister to Kalanjiyam for transporting the students Zameen Endathur High School from their villages to the high school every day. This is part of series of special efforts that we are taking to strengthen this school and the students in this school. |
